One of the best ways to introduce the ideas of liberty is through film. Like a great book, a film appeals to us through a variety of avenues: emotion, reason, character, and plot. When a group is carried through the same experience together, a great conversation can result! Why not screen a film on your campus?
Also, be sure to check out a couple outstanding documentaries produced by allied organizations below:
The Call of the Entrepreneur, produced by the Acton Institute, documents the life experiences of a merchant banker, a dairy farmer, and a refugee from Communist China and shows that entrepreneurs, by creating goods and services that others value, embodying moral virtues and should be celebrated. Not only will the Acton Institute send your organization the documentary, they'll also include a press release, related literature, and $100 to help cover marketing expenses.
Indoctrinate U, produced by the Moving Picture Institute, is a documentary that looks at violations of individual rights on college campuses such as free speech codes that are enacted under the guise of political correctness. Sign-up to request a screening in your area.
